During a storm at Barmedman.N.S.W., 1 last week a young girl named Boazloy, daughter of Mr Caleb Beazlcy, of Marsdens, was struck dead by lightning whilst sitting with some friends. Friday proved a record day for the traffic on tho Auckland eloctric trams, the approximate number of passongers carried during tho day being 46,000. On Wednesday 41,796 were carried, and on Christmas Day 36,701. When all tho lines aro in working order it is (says tho Star) expected that tho trams will bo ablo to carry upwards of 100,000 passengers in the day.
