Schgeder referred him to Captain Montgomerie’s British warship Charybdis, who declines to receive him. An American steamer named Caracas has been permitted to enter La Guayra to discharge mails and cargo by day. She is required to withdraw nightly. Reuter’s agency reports that President Castro is leaving Caracas at the head of a Government force to oppose six thousand reoels.
