The Crown Lands ranger, acting undor instructions from the Lunds Department, lias issued a butch ol summonses against a number of sawiuillers lor polluting certain streams with saw-dust. Great interest is being taken in tho matter, us an ad verso decision would practically mean the shutting down of several mills. The cases will he culled on at the Magistrate’s Court to-morrow, but owing tu tho iibsonce of the Magistrate will bu adjourned till utter tlio Holidays.
