On Saturday a cricket match will bo played at Tolago Pay betweon Tokomaru and Tolago. Tolago" Pay representatives will bo : W. Eoeves, J. P. Morris, G. Reynolds, J. It. Murphy, iM. Murphy, .0. E. Smith, E. Reeves, G. Porohaui, G. Halo, H. Oldfield, J. McNeil ; emergencies, J. Kirk, R. Murphy, P. Orpwood. Tho team, though rather short of practice, should maim a good gurno of it. In the last match, played in Tolago Bay with the same team, Tolago winning by one run. Tho TulugO team intend journeying up tho Coast early next month to play tho clubs, and tho fixtures so fur arranged nro : Tokomaru, 7th Jannury ; Wuipiio, Bth ; Tupa.oa, 9th; Mutu, 10th. AVhilo thoy aro up tho Coast a polo match will ulso bo played betweon Tolago and Wuipiro Clubs. UAWA ATHLETIC CLUB. On Saturday last a meeting of tho Uuwa Athlotic Club was held to open tenders for tho privileges for their sports meetings. Tho oiler for the gates was deemed too small, and fresh tenders will be called. Other privileges grunted woro : Refreshment booth, Mr Watkins, did Ils ; luncheon booth. Good progress is being made by Messrs Muckrelt and Colley, of Gisborne, with tho erection of the new schoolroom at Tolago liay, and the contractors expect to get through their work early iu tho new year. Mr W. J. Quigley, architect, visited Tolago ay this week to inspoct tho building. It i proposed to hold tho Tolago Pay Hchool picnic on Boxing-Buy at Gpok's Gove. A good outing should result.
