By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, Dec. 13. At the wool sales greasy roalised Is and scoured Is 7:,'d. At the Homobush sales there was a heavy catalogue. Crossbred wethers, medium, realised from 11s (id, good 15s to l(is, best Ids ; ewes, medium 11s, good 14s, best 17s. Cattle : The quality was inferior ; medium HlO, good XI3 10s, best Xl7 2s Gd ; cows, medium XB, good X 9 15s, extra XlO. Best beef sold up to 00s per lOOlbs. Potatoes are easier, the supply being plentiful; the price is at X7to X 8 per ton.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. The Agent-General's cablegram, dated London, 13th, states :—“ Stocks of mutton aro light, aud firmly held in few hands. There is very little business doing. Prices are nominal. The market is very uncertain. Canterbury is at 0 l-Bd, other North Island mutton sd, River Plate PJd. There is a better demand for lamb ; Canterbury brand, 0 0-Bd. Beef is dull. Stocks of New Zealand on hand are light. Hinds sd, fores 4d. Butter is steady at 114 s per cwt. Cheese is very firm at 09s per cwt. Hemp : Good fair Wellington, on spot, X 32 ; January to March shipments, X2B,
