Auckland, last night. Tho efi'eet of prohibition on tho wine industry of New Zealand was briefly discussed at the conference of fruitgrowers, ft was pointed out that the carrying of prohibition would under the presont law prohibit the sale of light wines, and a motion was passed expressing tho opinion th it New Zealand wines should bo sold in all restaurants, free of license.
