London, Dee. 5. Up to ditto 52,001) bales of wool have been sold to Home buyers, 42,fi00 to Continent, 1500 to America, and 000 bales are held over. Compared with tho October scries superior Merinos show nn advance of 5 per cent., medium and inferiors 61 per cent., lino crossbreds 71 per cent., medium 10 to 15 per cent., and low 25 per cent. Corresponding advances is shown in lambs wool. Tho prevailing opinion is that Merino values aro on a solid basis, and tho crossbreds aro doubtful. Their rise is duo to consumers being caught short. It is expected that tho new year’s supplies front tho Buenos Ayres will relieve the tension. Of a total catalogue of 101,275 bales, 08,010 bales were sold.
