RE-COUNT OF VOTES,

By Telegraph—Proßs Association. Now Plymouth, last night. Mr Leech, the unsuccessful candidate for Egmont, has applied for an official recount of votes, and tho S.M. has fixed Saturday for tho business. HOSPITAL CONTRIBUTION.

At the meeting of tho Hospital and Charitablo Aid Board to-day considerable discussion took place relative to tho position of Hawora members, llawora having been made a separate district this year by the Act. Accoiding to tho ruling of the department, representation cannot bo altered till 1904, and though Hawera has a separate Board it is still ontitled to bo represented on the New Plymouth Board. Tho question of contribution ie also involved. Eventually it was decided to appoint a joint committee from each Board to discuss tho matter.
