Nelson, last night. The Agricultural Show was formally opened to-day by the Premier, the Hon. T. Duncan being also present. The attendance numbered between five and six thousand, and great interest was taken in the riding and jumping competitions, and the wood-chopping and sawing contests. A POLICE CASE. A deputation waited on the Premier today relative to the police ease, with the object'of seeking justice for Sergeant MacKay, who had been disrated, and exConstables Burrell and Durbridge. who had been dismissed. Air Se-ddon said that if anyone satisfied him injustice had been done he would rectify it. The circumstances would be seriously and earnestly reviewed by him, apart from anything that had transpired, and justice would be done.
