TIMBER FOR PAVING. [by TELEOKAPII.—I'KKHS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, last night. Tho City Council has accepted the tender of tho Jarrahdalo Forosts and .Railways Company, Limited, for tho supply of upwards of fivo million feet of timber for paving Wellington streets. The prico is His 4d per hundrod foot. Tho Council will ash the Wostralian Government to allow an export to pass each shipmont. Tho bordor sots will bo atono from Drury, Auckland, supplied by Mr John McLonn. SEEKERS FOR HEALTH. Upwards of 300 applications havo been received by tho Hoalth Department for admission to tho Government Sanatorium for Consumptives. Tho Sanatorium will not bo ready to recoivo its full complement of patients till next yoar.
