ELINGAMITE RELIEF FUND,

Wellington, last night. The feto promoted by tho members of Williamsons' Musical Comedy Company, in aid of the Elingamite wreck relief fund, was held to-day on the Wellington College grounds. The ladies of the Company played a cricket match, and other attractions wore provided. There was an attendance of four or five thousand people. As a result of the fete over three hundred pounds were raised for the fund. METHODIST SYNOD.

At the Methodist Synod reference *.V IL3 made to the loss the Church suffered through the deatu of x-V. Hugh Price Hughes, and a resolution of'sympathywas passed. a The Rev. Oliver was appointed representative to the Conference, and the Rev. Mr Bond substitute.
