Wairoa News
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
We, I suppose, must be thankful for small mercies, and I am led to so commit myself as it has come Jo my knowledge that the site of the Frasertown bridge is really and truly to be fixed in the month of January. This, I suppose, means another trip from 'Wellington for some one, a lengbty report, and then a shelving of the subject for a time. Verily, “ Procrastination is the thief of time.” Till we get the bridge the tourist traffic via Waikaremoana is crippled. Our assets to wit, Waikaremoana Lake, Nuhaka Hot Springs, Marumaru Caves, To lieinga Falls, etc., require a little fostering care, and then their reproductiveness will soon reveal itself.

Neale Esq-, presided.
