ROWING.
GISBORNE ROWING CLUB,
011 Saturday evening the semi-final of tho above club's trial fours took place. The following crews competed: Williams (stroke), P. Keiha (3), F. Milletid), Bushuell (boiv), S- Coiemau (eox) v. 0. Hansen (stroke), H. Bright (3), Bennett (2), L. Sherrill (bow), Warren (cox); C. Adair (stroke), Dr Fisher (3). F. Shaw (2), B. Bright (bow), Warren (eox) v. DeLautour (stroke), Carter (3), Nolan (2), DeLautour (bow), S. Coleman (cox). The race between Williams and Hansen was a ding-dong go from start to finish, resulting in a win for Hansen by about half a length. The race between Adair and DeLautour was also an exciting one, tho former getting home, after a hardfought battle. This evening the final will be rowed be-, tween Hansen and Adair. Entries for the second set of trial fours closo this evening. POVERTY BAY ROWING CLUB.
The final of tho above club’s trial fours was rowed on Saturday evening, when Wililams mot Donkins, tho race resulting •n a paui lc home for Williams.
