By Telegraph—Prert Association. - Wellington, last night, j At the sitting of the Presbyterian General Assembly this evening the follow, ing motion was carried unanimously : ! “ That the Assembly expresses gratitude to God for the progress of total abstinence and for the good results of no license in Clutba district; that while disclaiming all dc-sire to coerce the judgment of others, the Assembly believed it to be the duty of , Christian citizens to adopt the no license | platform at tne approaching poll, and feels j bound to exhort members and adherents of the church to vote accordingly.”
