Five or sis craters are smoking and flaming there. One village is covered with two inches of ashes. FIVE CRATERS REPORTED TO BE ACTIVE. By Telegraph- Press Association. Auckland, last night. Two natives reported that five craters are active. This report requires confirmation. No lives have been lost. Fears were entertained at Samoa of a more serious eruption, and an official proceeeded to the scene to get authentic information. The Government official states that the original crater is issuing volumes of smoke, and another crater has broken out.
