FATAL ACCIDENT.
(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, last night,
A man named James Frederick Fuller was found dead this morning on tho floor of a stable at Springston. It was supposed that bo fell from the loft, and was lulled by the fall. SUPREME COURT.
At the Supreme Court to-day John Claney was found not guilty on a charge of breaking and entering. John M. Jordan, who pleaded guilty to breaking and entering, was admitted to probation for twelve months. George Edward Right, for breaking and entering at Timaru, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment. Joseph Henry Johnstone was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment for embezzlement, and Peter Hansen to two years for indecent assault at Timvald. Andrew Sturgeon, charged with incest, was found guilty of indecent assault, with a recommendation to mercy 011 account of accused’s family, and his having been under the influence of liquor. A sentence of twelve months’ imprisonment was imposed.
