TARUHERU v. GISBORNE FREEZIN’G WORKS. A WIN FOR THE FORMER. A very interesting football match was played on Saturday afternoon, between teams representing the two local freezing works, on the Victoria Domain. The game throughout was fast and exciting, and was played in a most friendly spirit! At times the play was quite as up-to date' as any of the senior matches, tries being scored for the winners by Ball, Campbell, and T. Sharp, one of which was converted by Bail. For the losers, ii. Kellctt scored a try, which was not cuuverted. I’he sum of £3 was taken at the gate, w deb, less expenses 7s 6d, will be devo.ed to augment the Hospital Funds. It has been decided by the employees of -the two local freezing works that an annual matchshall be played.
