By Tolegraph—Press Association Christchureh, last night, The Addington weekly sales took placo to-day. Fat cattle : There was a mixed entry of 161. Beef, prime, brought 27s to 32s 6d; prime Bteers, £lO to £l4 ; others, £6 os to £9 10s ; heifers, £5 17s 6d to £lO ; prime cows, £8 to £ll 7s 6d ; others, £5 5s to £7 10s, Store cattle : There wab a good entry, and a brisk sale. Yearlings brought £1 9s 6d; 15 to 18 months, £2 to £3 2s bd; two-year-old steers, 15s to £4 17s 6d ; heifers, £3 lbs 6d; 2j--year steers, £5 6s ; 3-year steers, £6 12s bd to £6 19s; heifers, £4 10s to £5 2s 6d ; dry cows, £2 0s to £4 7s ; dairy cows, poor lot, £3 to £B. Fat sheep : 4000 vvere yarded, including good North Island lines. Freezing buyers were operating keenly, and coming into competition with local trade made prices firmer. Heavy wethers brought 22s 9d to 23s bd ; freezers, 19s to 22s 6d ; lighter, 10s 2d to 18s 6d ; best shorn, lbs to 17s 3d ; others, 12s to 14s; prime owes, 20s to 23s ; good, 16s to 19s bd ; others, 14s lOd to 15s bd; prime merino wethers, 17b 9d to 23s 6d ; others, lbs lOd to lbs ; hoggets, 13s to 19s. Lambs: 200 were yarded, all taken locally, 13s to 16s 3d. Store sheep: There were only 1005 yarded. There was a better demand for ewes with lambs. Wethers brought 12s 3d; ewes, with lambs, 9s Id to 9s 6d, all counted; hoggets, 8s 7d to 10s 3d. Pigs : 312 were yarded. There was a keen demand for all sorts, and buyers from South operating. Baconers brought 49s to 565, up to 82s for extra, or to SJK per lb ; porkers, 23s to 36s 6d, or 5d to s±d ; large stores, 16s to 28s 6d ; small, 6s to 13s.
