Groat care has boon taken in selecting entries for this sale and only saleable properties havo been included in the list. Now that business sites are becoming so scare thero will doubtless bo considerable competition for somo very valuable properties which will bo offered at this sale : Notably, tho three sections in Custom Houso street opposite tho Poverty Bay Club, and having a frontage to Harris street. These sections will bo divided into suitable areas for business premises, and judging by tho values which were realised at the last sale of property in this locality thero will no doubt bo spirited competition. It was said at tho timo that boom values wero paid at tho sale, but wo understand that all of the purchasers at that sale could part at a handsomo premium ; and, seeing how restricted tho building area of tho town is becoming, thero can bo no doubt that all tho properties in tho business vicinity must become immensely valuable. . .
Another very valuablo business site is a section opposite tho gaol, and having a frontage to Peel street, which occupies a very prominent and central position, and should fetch big monoy. .Sections arc also offering in Grey street, Cobden street, and Berry street and another important feature of the sale will be the offering of 51 acres at Milltown, all subdivided Into suitable building situs. Mr Ling's property on ffliataupoko is another attractive feature of the sale. The sections will be handed over fully stocked with fruit and vegetables, and the fact of the AVhataupoko school being erected almost next door should excite healthy competition for tho different lots. Other sections are offering in Clifford street, and a beautiful section on the Point,
having a river frontage opposite the Beautifying Association's Bank. In Victoria township a .',-acre section, will lie offered. Kaiti entries consist, of a nice section of about four acres, fronting Wainui road, and a number of good building sites. Some choice properties at Ormond au4 Patutahj are also offered
Mr 11. Wilkinson’s property at Awapuni, consisting of 10 acreß, with a new 8 roomed dwelling and outbuildings, should find a ready purchaser, it being very favorably situated, and with splendid water all tho year round. Mr John Wilson is offering his section opposite the railway line at Alakaraka, consisting of 16 acres freehold, with a lease of 4U acres, being part of the Afakaraka racecourse. Perhaps one of the choicest places is section No. 84, Tonga, consisting of 10 acres, almost opposite Air McGregor s factory. At Te Karaka, section No. 8, containing nearly 6 acres, will be offered in buiiding sections. There can be no doubt that Te Karaka has a great future, and investors getting in early cannot possibly fail to get a good return for their money. Amongst tho larger offerings are two splendid places, one being 1000 acres at Motu, of splendid country, tbe majority of it being liat. Another section of 1750 acres is at Rangiriri, on the Gisborne side of the Motu bush. Of this block, 500 acres are open country, tho balance being in bush. Two splendid farms will be offered at Nick's Head, one of 500 acres and another of 438 acres.
This is first class country for either sheep or cattle, arid with tiie advance of the dairying industry there should be no difficulty in finding purchasers. The sale being field the day after the show and races, should ensure a full attendance. A start will be mado at 11.30 sharp, and luncheon will be provided by the auctioneers.
