VISIT OF ENGLISH TEAM,
By Telegraph—Press Association,
Wellington,-last night.
At the meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night, it was decided that the various Unsons be written to, stating that the New Zealand Union were negotiating for the visit of an English team in 1904, and asking whether in the event of a match being played in their centre, would they be prepared to hand over the proceeds to the New Zealand Union. It was announced that there had been a deficit of £3 on the North v. South Island match. It was decided to make a levy pro rata on the various Unions represented at the match.
