NATIVE LAND LAWS
(Special to Times,) Wellington, last night. The Maori Land Laws Amendment Bill was committed to-night. Clause 8, defining the meaning of “ two owners ” in the Maori Lands Administration Act of 1901, was struck out, the Hon. James Carroll announcing that ho would introduce another clause. Certain clauses of a technical character to improve the procedure before the Appellate Court were passed, and the Bill was reported from Committee.
