Tlie Daily Mail says that an account lias been opened by the Imperial Treasury, on the basis of the Transvaal and Orange Colony paying one hundred million pounds as a contribution towards tlie cost of the war and as the juice of good ggvernment. Tlie Treasury will not press them unduly. A loan of liity million pounds lias been floated from this by the Treasury to recouji itself partly for the expenditure incurred. Tlie. loan will not bo floated until the surplus revenues, probably two or three years hence, have considerably expanded.
