FATAL ACCIDENT.

By Telegraph—Press Association, Palmerston North, last night. John Clark Sutherland, who was killed at liairanga yesterday by a tree falling on his tent while deceased was inside writing, was a native of Motueka, Nelson, and aged 17 years. His mates were absent at the time, and on returning to the tent found deceased pinned to the ground by a tree, and that life was extinct.
