Average price to-day : Canterbury mutton iiijd, Dunedin, Southland, and Wellington Meat Export Company oRd, other North Island mutton iitd. Lamb market weak. Now Zoaland hinds 4}d, fores -Id. Tho butter market is rising. Danish is at 116 s. Tito cheese market is firm. The price of cheese to-day is 49s per cwt. The hoiup market is stoadv- Tho prieo of hemp, good fair Wellington grade, on spot to-day is jCoB ; October to December shipments £3l 10s. Tho cocksfoot seed market is firm. New Zealand 171 b standard is at 535. There are signs of improvement in tho cocksfoot seed market. Wool is brisk of salo.”

Best quality butter higher by 2d to -id; iulerior quality, prices fully maintained, hut wo cannot quoto a riso.”
