Tbo Public Works estimates brought down to night include : —Karaka railway amount on estimates to bo authorised £20,000, expend before 31st March £960, alterations to departmental buildings £3OO, Postal and telegraph estimates £2300, liability to 31st March £1979, Gisborne clock pound for pound subsidy estimated at £2OO. Roads—Gisborne Waiapu estimates at £4OO, Gisborne, via Tolago Bay, Hick's Bay estimates at £256, Gisborne-Opotiki estimates at £3OO, Gisborne-Rotorua stock estimates lit £750, Gisborno-Wairoa estimates at £235, Gis-borne-Wairoa (deviation) estimates at £2OO, artesian wcll9 (Rotorua-Tuuranga lands) estimates at £350.
