COMPENSATION CLAIMS,
CONTENTED BURGHERS,

London, Sept. 12. It is officially stated at Johannesburg that throe millions has been allocated for compensation and charged to the Imporial Exchequer, also two millions for compensation of British subjects, natives, and foreigners . who maintained neutrality. This is independent of tho Military Compensation Board's paymonts. London, Sept. 13. Tho burghers are contentedly resettling. Tho chief anxiety is to rebuild homesteads. Material and transport are scarce. There is groat need of breeding stock. The burghers are not interested in politics.
