LABOR DISPUTES,
[BY lELEOIUPH.—rRESJ ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, last night. Application for reference in the industrial dispute was filed to-day by the Auckland United Flourmills Employees’ Industrial Union citing the following firms : Northern Holler Milling Company (Limited), Bycroft (Limited), and Samuel Carey Brown. The case is set down for hearing before the Board of Conciliation on the 24th of this month. GOOD NEWS. Trooper Barker, of Gisborne, whoso life was for a long time, despaired of in the Auckland Hospital, and Manson, of Wellington, whose life was apparently saved by an operation for empyema which Dr. Gordon performed, involving the removal of a rib, are this morning reported both out of danger. The cases of Blacklock and Shellock do not show any improvement yet. All the other patients are convalescent. A RE-APPEARANCE. The youth Wolfran Cottingham, who mysteriously left his home last Friday night, has turned up all right at Mercer.
