A large business .was done, being chiefly confined to a few horses. At Tattersali’s Warrior wus bucked for X'4ooo ut 100 to 5 up to 8, leaving off at 100 to 9. Aftei 400 to 100 had been taken twice about Patronage, 70 to 20 was accepted nine times. Cyanide was supported for £IOOO at 4 to 1. Drake was tho subject of a stable commission executed to the extent of £6OOO at 100 to 8 to 6, leaving off’ at 100 to 7, offered. Prices on offer at the close were : 3 to 1 Patronage, 4 to 1 Cyanide, 100 to 10 The Persian, 100 to 9 Warrior, 100 to 7 Drake, 100 to 5 Air Motor, Bon Voyago, Homeward Bound, Queen of Shebo, Sir Leonard, and Felicitous.

After the card reading Sir Leonard was backed to win between £2OOO and £3OOO, leaving off at 9 to 1. At the City Tattorsalls Patronage and Cyanide closed equal favorites at 4 to 1, and Sir Leouard at 10 to 1.
