Mr McCulloch, ex-Minister for Public Works in Victoria, in a letter to tlie Times, returns thanks for the splendid reception given to the Victorian visitors for the Coronation, lie explains that had England needed them Victoria could easily have sent a thousand more men to South Africa. lie states that 'he drought affected only the northern part of Victoria. He expresses surprise at the price of Victorian o per cent, stock being so much lower than Canadian, though Victorian is equally as safe as Canadian or even consols. He adds that it is a mistake to suppose that Victoria is piling up a huge debt.
