Liooo at Bto I was taken about Sequence, and then L7OO at a point shorter. LIBOO was placed on Ibex’s account at too to 6, and several hundreds at 100 to 6'z . L3OOO was written about Cyanide at n to 1. Purser had good backing at 9to 1. Bon Voyage was friendless at 10 to 1. Mars was backed for the Epsom Handicap to win L2soo at 100 to 1, and the Metropolitan L2OOO at 100 to 2. Prices on offer at the close for the Epsom Handicap were : ioo to 14 Sequence, too to 12 Purser, 100 to 11 Myall, looto 10 Bon Voyage, 100 to 9/iJCyanide, 100 to 4 Bengalla, Ibex, Arc and Motor. The card was also read on the Derby. Abundance was a hot favorite. The prices at closing were :—5 to 4 i against Abundance, 100 to 30 Strata Florida, 40 to 1 Free States and Great Scott.
