ARMED-AND MOUNTED THIEF. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Brisbane, Sept. 5. A pay clerk named Henry at the Brisbane gasworks was proceeding to the works at Breakfast Creek this afternoon with a bag containing £225 in wages. A man galloped up, presented a revolver, and demanded the money. In responso to Henry’s calls, two employees of the works came to his assistance. He threw the bag towards them. The robber covered them with his revolver, dismounted, snatched tho bag up, end rode clear away.
