SECOND DAY AT TIMARU. By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, last night. The weather was fine and the attendance again good. The totalisator handled L22OS, being L 4373 for the meeting, or an increase of L 1023 over last meeting. The following are the results: Hurdles, I </ 2 miles.—Hurricane I, Surrey 2, Inchcape 3. Zither and Birthday also started. Won easily. Time, Div., L 3 193. Welter, 1 mile.—Clanburn 1, Puawat -» Narcissus 3. Master was scratched. Won by a long neck. Time, 1.46. Div., La is and Li ~s. Memorial Handicap, 1 mile. Welbeck t, Whirlwind 2, Cameo 3. All started. Won by two lengths. Time, 1-44/2- Di\s., La 5s and L2 16s. Steeplechase, 2 mtles.-Hurncane I, Te Kooti 2, Gambler 3. Skipper and Swagger also started, but fell. Time, 4.46. Div., L2 9s. . Handicap Trot, miles.-Manbrmo 1, King Deception 2, Little Bell 3. All started.
