At Addington to-day there were small entries. A Sydney buyer for fat stock, who was expected, did not get to the sale to-day, owing to the late arrival of the Wellington steamer. Fat cattle i 155 were yarded, mostly prime steers and cows. There was a good demaud for both locally, and there was an advanco in prices. Best beef realised 27s to 30s, and up to 32s Od for extra prime ; others, 24s to 265. l’rime bullocks, £l2 to £l4 10s ; good steers, £9 to £ll 10s ; lighter, £6 12s 6d to £9. Prime cows £8 to £lO, up to £ll Is 6d for extra quality, others £5 10s to £7 10s. Store cattle : Three hundred were yarded, mostly good two and three-year-olds. Calves brought 18s ; yearlings 16s to 19s 6d, 1 5 to 18-months*£2 to £3 los ; two-year-old steers, £4 7s 6d to £5 3s ; do. heifers, L 4 ; three-year-old steers, L 6 Is to L 6 10s, and L 7. Dry cows, Li 10s to L 5.

Fat sheep : About 3000 were yarded, a very mixed lot. 'There were no Sydney buyers. Heavy sheep were easier. Although freezing buyers were not operating, prices were kept up by local trade requirements. Good ewes and prime Merino wethers also sold well. Prime heavy wethers brought 21s to 275, freezing quality 18s to 20s, lighter 16s to 17s 6d, best ewes 17s 6d to 21s 6d, others 13s 9d to 16s 6d, extra prime Merino wethers 18s lid to 20s 7d, good 15s 7d to lbs 9d, others 8s 9d to 21s Id.

Fat lambs and hoggets : A dozen spring lambs made 11s 9d to 17s 3d, up to 225. Hoggets were mostly taken for export at 10s 8d to 13s, up to 1.5 s for extra good. Store sheep : 2110 were yarded, mostly ewes in lamb and hoggets. No business was done in wethers or ewes, but hoggets soid well at 10s Id to lxs sd.

Pigs : 500 were yarded, a mixed entry. Baconers were easier. Workers were in poor demand, while stores showed an advance, nearly 200 being taken by Southern buyers. Baconers brought 35s to 525, and 555, or 4d per lb, porkers 20s to 345. or 41 d to Od per lb, large stores 20s to 275, smaller 12s to !Ss, suckers and weaners 3s 6d to Bs.
