LAND SALE.

THERE was a large attendance and spirited bidding at the sale of Victoria sections, held by Messrs Common, Shelton, and Co. yesterday morning. For sections 19 and 53 the bidding commenced at L 45 a section, and rose to L 69, at which sum section 53 was sold to Mr Chris. Gray. Section 19 went to Mr H. J. Bushnell at L6j. Section 55 opening at L4O, was knocked down to Mr J. W. Wade at L 65 The right of selection of any section being then submitted, sections 20, 21, 22, 50, 51, 52, were secured by Mr Bushnell at L 52 lps per section. With the reserve price at L 52 per section, sections 9, 10, 11 went to Mr Stafford, Messrs Hepburn No. 12, Yardley 13 and 59, Lawless 14, 15, 56, 57, and 58, Doyle 23, Bartlett 60, Chris. Gray 53, A. Williams 49, T. W. Hackett 46 and 47, Casey 30, A. Searle 48 and 24, Davis 16, Marsack 59.
