Small-pox Cases.
PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN,
(By Telegraph—Pross Association.) Wellington, last night. Tho Chief Hoalth Officer is determined that tho colony shall run no risk in connection with the refusal of tho authorities at Hobart to allow tho stcamor Wakanui, which has on board two convalescents from small-pox, to land passongors at that port. , , . , The stoamer is now on her way to Auckland with the Now Zoaland and Australian soldiers on board, and tho Department will try to got her sent on to Wellington, where everything is in readiness to inoet all contingencies. An inspection of tho passengers will bo made, and if small-pox is found on board, everyone will havo to undergo vaccination, and all persond belonging to other colonies will bo sent back.
