THE POSITION DOUBTFUL. By Telegraph—Pross Association—Copyright Sydney, Aug. 22. The struggle betwoen the pastoralists and shearers will bo accentuated by tho rain allowing moro sheds to start. Both sides aro working hard. Full boards on a number of stations aro at a standstill, owing to tho refusal of the pastoralists’ terms. Others have accepted. The President of tho Workers’ Union has expressed his willingness to agreo to a 'compromise if tho pastoralists are ready.
Adelaide, Aug. 22. Negotiations aro proceeding for a settlement of tho shearing dispute, and there aro hopes of it being successful.
