The Daily Telegraph says tho Hague authorities contradict tho statement that the Generals will claim Kruger’s money. They allege that Kruger, when leaving tho Transvaal, lent the Government tho whole of his bank balance, 1140,000, with interest, to meet tho expenses of tho commandos. Sir Edmund Barton and Sir J. Forrest have started on their return journey. Tho shareholders of tho Commercial Bank of Australia have petitioned tho Court for a reduction of the value of paidup shares from ,66 to 10s, in order to moot losses of capital.
