By six votos to three the Charitable Aid Board docided not to register the female rofugo under the Factory Act, and thus throw onus of closing the rofuge on tho Government, as tho ladies who have conducted it are not likely to continue if forced to comply with the provisions of tho Factory Act as to tho rate of wages, etc. BIBLE IN SCHOOLS. Tho voting papers in connection with tho plebiscite of Dunedin and district on the question of Bible reading in schools are now boing distributed, one being left at every houso.
