The Mayor made the announcement at the Council meeting this evening that Mr John Buckley, on behalf of his lately deceased uncle, Mr John McLean, of Redcastle, has made the offer of £250, tho full amount required to be paid by tho Council as its share of the cost of the post-office clock. The tower is boing orocted by the Government. The gift was highly appreciated by tho Council. FOUND UNCONSCIOUS. A lady named Shields, was found in an unconscious state in a railway carriage today, and on arrival at the Oamaru station, had to be removed to the hospital, where she lies in a very critical state.
