OFFICIAL VISIT TO PACIFIC . ISLANDS.

Auckland, laßfc night. The Consul for Franco in New Zealand left by tho Ovalau for Tahiti. He is going to visit, on official duty, tho Pacifio Islands, over which his Consular jurisdiction has been extended lately. ’The tour will include Raratonga, - Tahiti, Samoa, and Tonga. Tho journey will bo made partly on board tho French warship Durance, and is expected to last slightly over a monjli.
