Threatening Letters.
SENT TO ACTING-PREMIER.
A MAN ARRESTED.
(Per Press Association.) (By Telephone from Napier.) Wellington, last night. S. T. Moore, recently employed to report on the frozen meat industry in the colon}’, and well known in Wellington, was arrested to-day, charged with having written threatening letters to Sir Joseph Word. At the time of his arrest Moore was in the strangers’ gallery of the House of Representatives. He was at once searched, but nothing in the way of offensive weapons was found upon him. Bail was refused, and the accused will be brought before the Police Court in the morning.
