Sir,—Will Mr Townloy toll us how the Kaiti bridgo would bo carriod away if tho wharf was built out to the lino of tho first pier of the bridgo ? Would it bo a caso of natural selection, repulsion, abstraction, or a caso of tho survival of tho fittest ? \Vo Haitians owo Mr Townloy very much if ho can show us that ha has saved our bridgo. Mr Townloy has now boon 17 years sub or chief ongineer of harbor works, and wo laymen must place moro or loss confidence in his statements when made with such assuranco. —I am, etc., Haiti.
