IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.

The Imperial Conference on Sir Edmund Barton’s motion, resolved that it was desirable that Imperial products should receive preference in all Government contracts as against foreign products, the fullest notice being given of the requirements and conditions of tenders.
Mr Chamberlain will recommend to Inn’s Court the favorable consideration of the New Zealand Law Society’s sug-
gestion for reciprocity for (Sew Zealand barristers practising in England. Mr Seddon suggested to Mr Chamberlain that the colonies ought to be represented on Lord Elgin’s commission of inquiry into the war.
