CANTERBURY V. TARANAKI. By Telegraph—Press Association. Now Plymouth, last night. The football match, Canterbury v. Taranaki, ended in a draw, after an exciting game, the teams scoring 10 points each. Canterbury had the best of the game all through, the forwards getting completely round the home men towards the end of the first spell. McGregor potted a goal, but there was no further score till half-time.

In the second spell Taranaki got on a forward rush, ending in Guy scoring a try. No goal was kicked. Canterbury then hustled the game, Brinson scoring a try. It was not enhanced by the kick. Latter on McGregor, following up smartly, beat the Taranaki backs and scored. Taranaki rallied, and from a rush Guy scored again, Humphries missing an easv kick. Just on call of time O’Dowd place*? a goal from a mark. MATCH AT NELSON. (By Telegraph—Press Association. Nelson, last night. Tho football match Wairarapa Thursday seniors v. Nelson juniors resulted in a victory for the visitors by five points to nil. The game was a very pleasant one, and well contested. J. Carpenter secured a try, which O’Connor converted.
