Fourteen started. Belting: 7 to 2 against Colonel Shilinski, 5 to 1 Lowland Chief, 8 to 1 Rawdon and Scout, 10 to 1 Scutum. Most of tho running was made by Scout, but tho pace was slow. Coming round the homo turn, Lowland Chief took command. Colonel Shilinski and Rawdon were in attendance. Lowland Chief was leading at the last hurdle, but Colonel Shilinski came fast on tho inside, and won a good race by threequartors of a length. Time, 7.17-j. The win was a very popular one.
