THE OPENING CEREMONY

Napier, last night. Tho Hawke’s Bay Woollen Co. a mill was formally opened to-day, whon the mill was thrown open to the public. There was a largo attendance of visitors. Speeches wero made by the Chairman of Directors (Mr D. A. Baxter), and by tho Mayor. The present capital of tho company is £12,000, which it is proposed to increase to £20,000 very shortly. Largo orders havo been received for the company’s products, and there is overy prospect of tho industry bciug an important one.
