Christchurch, last night. There arc nearly one hundred horses at present in work in lliccarton in view of the Grand National Meeting. This morning Huku got over a couple of rounds, tko second at solid pace. Skobcleff finished the second round of two, going well. Somerled, Windwhistle, Djm-Djin, and Dcakin ran a mile strongly, Somerled leading his companions home. Good Spec and Impcrator left half a mile behind in bosee. Cora Linn was too good for Bill Perkins at the end of five furlongs. Royal Conqueror and Stray bird went once round. At the ruilo post they were joined by Muscovite, who led tho hurdler homo, Straybird being beaten off. Royal Conqueror and Muscovite covered tho mile in 1.55, a very fair gallop. Magnifieout and Cameo, separately, were extended over a mile. Orloff started and finished in front of Siege Gun n a inilo spin, but they were not on a time-making mission. Cruciform, Romany Queen, Grand Rapids, and Evolyn Wood were given useful tasks.

All tho Yaldhurst horses are well forward. Tho Swimmer and Holler went round over tho big i'cncos, both jumping well. Long Tom, alono, acquitted himself creditably in a round over tho hurdles. Other horses to do useful tasks were Antigone, Merrymakor, Scottish Minstrel, Ordnance, Rosomore, Wonderful The Master, Reflex, Tufto, Pipi, Eegulation, and Wire Gun.
