(Erysipelas was communicated by a bank note. There is no end to the perils of wealth in hand. Farmer Laidley, of Ashburton, told the Farmers’ Conference that a man would no more shoulder a musket in defence of the lease-in-perpetuity tenure than he would in defence of the boarding-house system.
