[By Telegraph—Press Association.) Dunedin. last night. Intimation has been received that Mr A. Montgomery. M.A., formerly of the Otago School of Mines, who resigned the position of geologist to the Tasmanian Government to take the management of the Kauri Estates Gold Company, has accepted the appointment of Btate Mining Engineer in Western Australia. The score in the draughts match is again equal, Brodie and Gardiner having each three wins, with eleven draws and seven to Dlay.
