account of the murder were found in a' shed at Balmain, where one of the suspects was seen leaving. The writer states that, lav and a friend had got a jofi sloping on the steamer Weslral.'a,leaving Melbourne to-night, and that, they had hooked berths for two otnors mentioned. The writer adds :—“ The boat leaves for Old Dart four days after the steamer reaches New Zealand.” It indirectly refers to the crime, and warns the receiver to he prepared to die fighting rather titan face the hangman.
